FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
RECENT CHANGES BY THE DMV
Proof Of Enrollment Change
Effective September 1, 2010, the DMV no longer requires proof of enrollment in a Driver Training Program (white slip, DMV Form OL 392) in order to take the Permit Test. A student 15 1/2 years of age needs only to complete Drivers Ed and prove course completion (pink slip, DMV form DL 400C) to take the Permit Test at the DMV.

AP DRIVING DEDICATED TO KEEPING SAFETY FIRST
Economic Changes Won’t Impact Student Training
As the economy challenges many business models, AP Driving announced that their Behind-the-Wheel instructors will not have more than two students at a time per instruction. This announcement was based not only on the need to provide quality supervision and training to students which is best in small numbers, but also because AP Driving is underscoring to parents that their child’s safety is always top priority with the school.
“We understand that there are many models for Behind-the-Wheel training. Peer to peer learning is a great method for students to learn safe driving,” said Richard Park, AP Driving’s VP of Operations. “At the same time, AP Driving is dedicated to providing a small class setting where each student can have their specific needs focused on. That’s why we’re making this commitment to only have two students or less per setting.”
While many have viewed the dedication to small training sessions to be a value for the parents, it’s also been something students enjoy. Taking away the pressure of having to be perfect, the Behind-the-Wheel instruction allows students to learn in a setting they’ll absorb the most information from.
“AP Driving really helped me conquer my nerves with a relaxed and comfortable environment –that helped me feel safe and confident,” said one recent AP Driving student.
With a 30-year history in Driver’s Ed and Driver’s Training, AP Driving anticipates seeing many families continue to choose their Behind-the-Wheel training, especially as they take a stand on small class sizes and safety.
